Leah N. Wade is a passionate senior philanthropy executive with over a decade of experience leading strategic visions from idea to implementation to impact to create sustainable, scalable social impact rooted in opportunity and empowerment.
Over the past decade, Leah has worked in several capacities within the public sector, concentrated in private and community philanthropy. Throughout her career, Leah has supported ultra-high net worth donors and families, leading portfolio management activities and designed operating systems to advance strategic initiatives.
Leah is currently the Senior Director of Philanthropy at The Executive Leadership Council, national organization comprising current and former Black CEOs and senior executives at Fortune 1000 and Global 500 companies, where she leads strategic philanthropy for the organization.A globally recognized leader, Leah is an International Women’s Forum Fellow where she studied and convened at INSEAD and Harvard Business School, and represented North and South America as an American Express Leadership Fellow. She began her career in public service as an AmeriCorps Member with the Local Initiatives Support Corporation and has worked at numerous foundations, including Greater Houston Community Foundation, Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, and Dalio Philanthropies, a subsidiary of the Dalio Family Office, where she oversaw operations.Leah is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated; The Links, Incorporated, and Junior League of Washington. Leah holds a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Connecticut; and is a graduate of The Campaign School at Yale University. She is a native of Houston, Texas and mentors middle school and college students.
